The Dawes Arboretum is Hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist Near Newark, OH
- Receiving, reviewing, and processing vendor invoices.
- Adding all invoices to our accounts payable system (ProcureDesk) and distributing them to department managers for approval.
- Overseeing the weekly vendor payment schedule and check runs.
- Investigating and resolving invoices and/or vendor issues, including outstanding checks.
- Maintaining and reconciling office transaction records for petty cash, expense reports, credit card statements, and receipts.
- Generating and maintaining all accounts payable reports and documentation.
- Recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of the accounts payable function.
- Associate degree from an accredited university in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Three (3) years of demonstrated work experience in an accounts payable or accounting role.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours for Arboretum events.
- Valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability.
